Breck Lebegue

Director at Sound

Breck Lebegue, MD, joined Sound’s board of directors in June 2021. After serving for over two decades in the military, including as a practicing psychiatrist, Dr. Lebegue continues to live his passion of helping others through medicine. He was drawn to Sound’s board of directors because of its mission to help rapidly growing, underserved populations, such as those in Pierce and King Counties.

Today, Dr. Lebegue works part-time as an independent medical evaluator with Panel of Consultants where he evaluates injured employees looking to return to work. Throughout his career, Lebegue has held a variety of positions, including serving as an Air Force flight surgeon and a psychiatrist at CHI Franciscan and at Madigan Medical Center at the Joint Base Lewis McChord.

Dr. Lebegue has also authored several publications, delivered several lectures to audiences and presentations to universities across the globe and conducted multiple clinical research projects. He’s also been named a Distinguished Life Fellow by the American Psychiatric Association.

In addition, Dr. Lebegue holds a bachelor’s degree and Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University. He completed his psychiatry residency and Master of Public Health at the University of Utah School of Medicine, a psychiatry and law fellowship at the University of Southern California School of Medicine and an aerospace medicine residency at Brooks Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
