Bal Sareen

Dr. Bal Sareen has extensive experience in healthcare leadership, serving in various roles such as Chief Medical Officer, Chief Quality Officer, and Medical Director in organizations such as NYC Health + Hospitals, Presence Health, and Mercy Health. Bal'sresponsibilities have included overseeing clinical, administrative, operational, and strategic functions, leading large teams of direct reports, and implementing initiatives to improve population health metrics, quality standards, and resource utilization. Throughout their career, Dr. Sareen has made significant contributions to the organizations they have worked for, including hiring key personnel, leading bylaw rewrites, and spearheading EMR implementations.

Bal Sareen, MD, MBA, CPE, FACHE graduated from Maulana Azad Medical College in 1978 with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. In 1989, they completed their medical degree (M.D.) at North Shore Forest Hills Hospital. Bal continued their education by earning a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from NYU Stern School of Business in 2002. Additionally, they obtained various certifications, including Certified Physician Executive (CPE) in 2004 and fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
