Samir Patel, MD MPH CPE has extensive experience in various medical leadership and educational roles. Samir has served as an Associate Chief Medical Director Hospitalist and Hospitalist at Sound Physicians, Vice Chair of Medicine and Medical Director at Texas Health Huguley Hospital Fort Worth South, and as a Medical Director at Valley Oaks Medical Group and Harbor Hospice. Samir has also been an Assistant Professor at UNT Health Science Center and held adjunct teaching positions at Lincoln Memorial University and Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Additionally, they have worked as an Internist at Baptist Health Fort Smith & Van Buren and Sparks Health System. Samir Patel is currently the Vice President of the Society of Hospital Medicine.

Samir Patel, MD MPH CPE completed their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) at B. J. Medical College from 2004 to 2010. Samir then pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology at Tulane University from 2011 to 2013, followed by their Doctor of Medicine (MD) at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, they earned a Certificate in Physician Leadership of Hospital Medicine from the American College of Physicians in 2018 and an Emerging Leadership Certificate from Sound Physicians in 2021.
