Johannes Braun

Johannes Braun is a seasoned product director with extensive experience in search and discovery at leading tech companies. At SoundCloud since July 2019, Johannes focuses on product direction related to search capabilities. Previously, Johannes held the position of Head of Product at OLX Group, driving initiatives in search relevance and personalization for emerging markets. Johannes has also served as Senior Product Manager for Axel Springer's UPDAY, effectively scaling the news aggregator and improving user engagement through personalized news recommendations. Expertise includes developing hybrid recommender systems, implementing search algorithms, and leading cross-functional teams. Johannes holds a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from KU Leuven and a Joint Master’s in Business Administration and Computer Science from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau.
