Phil Merkow

Phil Merkow is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in social media management and public relations within the entertainment industry. Currently serving as the Social Media Manager and Content Operations Specialist at SoundCloud since 2019, Phil advocates for operational efficiencies and collaborates with various teams to enhance user experience. As the Executive Director of Magic Lantern PR since 2010, Phil leads strategic public relations and social media campaigns for prominent brands in entertainment and food and beverage sectors. Previous roles include Business Development Manager at Yowie, Management Associate at Principato-Young Entertainment, Orange County Events Editor at RMG Networks, Director of the UCSB Media Studies Film Series, and Films Coordinator for the Associated Students Program Board. Phil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Film Studies from UC Santa Barbara.
