Ron Buell

SVP, Engineering at Sounding Board

Ron Buell is the Vice President of Engineering at Sounding Board. Ron has over 20 years of experience in the software engineering field and has held various leadership positions during their career.

Ron started their career as a software engineer at Lottery Now, where they were a technical consultant for two years. Ron then joined PAX Labs, Inc. as the Vice President of Software Engineering. During their time at PAX, Ron built and integrated software into their overall product offering. Ron also helped design and build a highly scalable Java-based federated microservice running on AWS. Ron was responsible for a budget of over $15M annually and oversaw contracting with outside vendors.

In September 2018, Ron joined Sounding Board as the Vice President of Engineering. In this role, they are responsible for leading the engineering team and developing the company’s products. Ron is a strong advocate for innovation and has helped the company submit several patents and pending Open Source applications. Ron is also a member of the executive team and works closely with the other leaders to ensure that the company’s products are meeting the needs of their customers.

Ron Buell's educational career includes earning a Master of Science in Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Economics from St. Lawrence University.

Ron Buell works with Barry Peterson - Director of Engineering, Jennifer Barrow (Contractor) - HR, Talent & Learning, and Lori Mazan - Co-founder & President. Their manager is Christine Tao, CEO & Co-founder.
