David Y. has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. David started their career in 1982 with the Government of British Columbia, where they served as an Assistant Deputy Minister. After almost 22 years in this role, they moved on to FRP Canada in 2004, where they worked as an Executive Director until 2007. In 2008, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Sources, a position they continue to hold.

David Y. pursued their education with great dedication and passion. David began their academic journey at Trent University from 1977 to 1980, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. During their time at Trent University, David focused on the fields of Political Science and Government as well as English Literature.

Driven by their desire to make a positive impact in society, David furthered their education at The University of British Columbia from 1988 to 1989. It was here that they obtained a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree, specializing in the field of Social Work.

Through their educational experiences at both Trent University and The University of British Columbia, David Y. developed a well-rounded understanding of various subjects and honed their skills in the fields of Political Science, Government, English Literature, and Social Work.
