Luther-Michael Mavunga

Luther-Michael Mavunga is an accomplished sports professional with extensive experience in coaching and community engagement. Currently serving on the Board of Trustees for Rising Stars and as Social Impact Officer for basketballscotland, Mavunga has played a pivotal role in youth development through initiatives like the Erasmus Project, enhancing the training of Scotland's u17s and u18s basketball squads. Mavunga is also a Member of the Champion Programme at sportscotland, focusing on transformative community change through sport, and a TAP Member, contributing to mindfulness initiatives within basketballscotland. Previous coaching roles include Assistant Head Coach for the Glasgow Rens Basketball Club and Assistant Head Rugby Coach at the University of Glasgow. Mavunga holds a BSc (Hons) in Sports Coaching & Development from the University of the West of Scotland and has furthered education in physical education and sports sciences in Spain, complementing an impressive coaching portfolio with a commitment to positive youth engagement.
