Diana Bruce

Medical Technology at South Bend Medical Foundation

Diana Bruce has an extensive work experience in the medical field. Diana started their career in 1991 as a Medical Technologist/Manager at Hematology and Oncology Specialist, where they managed three office labs and conducted various tests including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and minimal microbiology. Diana also had daily patient contact and performed phlebotomy.

In 1995, Diana joined Covance as a Medical Technologist/Supervisor/Tech Administrator where they worked until 2003. During their time at Covance, they gained experience in supervisory roles and technical administration in the medical technology field.

From 2004 to 2007, Diana worked as a Medical Technologist at St. Johns Hospital, where they evaluated and reported test results in all areas of the laboratory. Diana also performed instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as phlebotomy including arterial sticks for Blood Gases. Diana worked on both 2nd and 3rd shifts.

In 2007, Diana joined South Bend Medical Foundation as a Medical Technologist, responsible for evaluating and reporting laboratory test results. Diana also performed instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, organized supplies and reagents, and created inventory lists.

Since 2013, Diana has been working as a Laboratory Supervisor at American Health Network Hematology and Oncology.

Prior to their medical career, Diana worked at Art to Remember from 2003 to 2009 as a data/order entry.

Diana Bruce has a diverse education history. In 1976, they attended The Medical Laboratory of Thorton, Haymond, Costin and Beuhl, where they obtained a Certification of Clinical Lab Tech in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist. Diana furthered their education in 1977 by obtaining a certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology at ASCP-CLA/MLT. In 1983, they received another certification as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist from the Department of Health and Human Services Public Health Service. Later, in 1989, Diana attended Lake Sumpter Community College to take miscellaneous classes in the field of General Studies.
