Dorah Mtekele

Dorah Mtekele's work experience includes their current position as a Health IT Project Manager at the South Boston Community Health Center, where they manage the implementation of new technologies and supports end users. Prior to this, they worked as a Direct Support Staff at Seven Hills Foundation, where they assisted individuals with cognitive challenges and disabilities in living independent and fulfilling lives. Dorah also worked as a Research Enrollment Coordinator at Mass General Brigham, where they recruited and enrolled volunteers in a research program and managed data validation. Additionally, they gained experience as a Public Health Intern at the School of International Training, where they studied public health in Kenya and provided solutions to health issues. Moreover, they worked on independent research at UMass Boston, focusing on barriers to physical activity among African American women breast cancer survivors. Dorah also served as a Peer Mentor at UMass Boston, guiding freshmen through their transition to college. Prior to their professional roles, they were a student at Northeastern University.

Dorah Mtekele's education history includes a Master of Science degree in Health Informatics from Northeastern University, which they pursued from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Health Sciences from UMass Boston, studying from 2017 to 2021.
