Mengmeng Xu has a diverse work experience in various organizations. In 2022, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Center for Health Communication at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Eye Care Services at the South Boston Community Health Center since 2010. Mengmeng also worked as a Health System Consultant at the World Bank Group in 2022, where they contributed to planning, delivering, and evaluating a flagship course on health systems for healthcare reform. Mengmeng was also responsible for producing a study case on integrating best practices for non-communicable disease management into primary healthcare systems. Mengmeng has experience in academia as well, having served as the Coordinator of International Program and Assistant Professor of Clinical Education at New England College of Optometry since 2014. Mengmeng also worked as an Operations Lead at aime.place since 2020. Additionally, Mengmeng undertook an internship at The Public Health Company in 2022. Prior to their work in the United States, they worked as an Educational Consultant at BRIEN HOLDEN VISION INSTITUTE FOUNDATION (AFRICA) from 2012 to 2014 and as a Lecturer in Optometry at Mzuzu University from 2011 to 2012.
Mengmeng Xu pursued their education at various institutions. From 2020 to 2023, they attended the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where they studied and obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Prior to this, Mengmeng Xu completed their Residency in Primary care/Ocular disease at Salus University. Completing their education, they attained a Doctor of Optometry degree from Université de Montréal.
