Savannah Baker, MS, currently serves as the Region 3 Emergency Management Coordinator at the South Carolina Emergency Management Division since May 2023. With a strong background in emergency management and geography, Savannah has held various roles, including Scholarship Commission Member for the International Association of Emergency Managers and Secretary for the American Association of Geographers' Graduate Student Affinity Group. Past experience includes natural resources work with the State of Nebraska, graduate research at the University of South Carolina, and tutoring at Northwest Missouri State University. Savannah's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Geography from the University of South Carolina and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Geographic Information Science and Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from Northwest Missouri State University. Notable projects involve hazard mitigation planning, wildfire research, and the development of academic publications and data visualizations in the field of geography and emergency management.
