Victoria Chandler, PhD, currently serves as a Research and Drafting Assistant for the South Carolina Senate, where responsibilities include researching legislation and drafting bills and resolutions. Previously, Victoria held the position of Research Assistant at the University of South Carolina, focusing on African American literature and history, while also managing a long-term dissertation project as a PhD candidate. Teaching experience includes designing and delivering Literature and Rhetoric courses as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and serving as an Academic Mentor for student athletes. Victoria’s earlier roles encompass various educational and administrative positions, including writing tutoring, teaching assistance in philosophy, and internships in human resources. Victoria holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in American Literature from the University of South Carolina, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, and has participated in a Visiting Student Programme at the University of Oxford.
