Lucy Chen

Lucy Chen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy and data management. Currently serving as the Head of Strategy & Data at South China Morning Post SCMP since April 2023, Chen previously held the position of General Manager of Corporate Strategy at SmarTone from 2020 to 2023. As a Co-Founding Partner at Cobalt Equity Partners from 2015 to 2020, Chen was instrumental in managing investments in mid-market growth capital across Asia. Additionally, Chen served as Executive Director at GE Equity from 2006 to 2015 and progressed through various roles at McKinsey & Company, starting as a Business Analyst in 2001 and advancing to Junior Engagement Manager by 2006. Chen holds an MBA in Business from INSEAD and a B.A. in International Relations from Wellesley College.
