Currently serving as a critic for the South China Morning Post since December 2020, Pierce also runs 2Mr Films, producing and promoting independent Korean genre films. As the founder and editor of Modern Korean Cinema, Pierce contributes significant academic and industry insights, while also providing coverage and reviews as Korea Correspondent for Screen Anarchy. Previous roles include KOBIZ Editor and podcast host for the Korean Film Council and Acquisitions Executive for XYZ Films. With extensive writing experience in various media, including film criticism for Time Out Magazine, Pierce possesses a comprehensive background in both cinema and literary studies, holding MA and BA degrees in French Literature and Film Studies from Trinity College Dublin.
