Jose Luis Gonzalez Hernandez has a solid work experience in the field of research and academia. Jose Luis started their career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Minnesota in 2000 and then moved to North Dakota State University in 2001 for a similar role. In 2006, they joined South Dakota State University as an Assistant Professor and worked their way up to Associate Professor before becoming the Director-Genomics Sequencing Facility in 2016. Currently, they hold the position of Professor and Director of Research Core Facilities at South Dakota State University.
Jose Luis Gonzalez Hernandez received their Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Navarra, where they studied from 1986 to 1991. Jose Luis then pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Plant Breeding from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Zaragoza, Spain, from 1994 to 1995. Later, they completed their PhD in Plant Sciences at North Dakota State University from 1996 to 2000. Before their university studies, they attended Guadalete from 1975 to 1986.
