South-East Monash Legal Service provides free and confidential legal help to people in Melbourne’s southeast, including the City of Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia. We support individuals and communities who are experiencing financial hardship or who face systemic barriers to justice, with a focus on inclusive, affirming and accessible legal help.

Many of life’s problems — like unsafe housing, family violence or unfair treatment at work — have legal solutions. But the legal system can be overwhelming and hard to navigate alone. That’s where South-East Monash Legal Service comes in. We help people get the legal help they need, understand their rights and responsibilities, and access support services when legal help alone isn't enough.

As a community legal centre, South-East Monash Legal Service walks alongside our clients to help them understand their rights, take action and feel heard. We also work with communities and partner organisations to address the root causes of injustice through advocacy, legal education and systemic reform.

South-East Monash Legal Service is proud to train the next generation of ethical, community-minded lawyers through hands-on clinical legal education.
