Sam Murray is an experienced professional in cultural resources management with a career spanning over a decade. Currently serving as the Owner and Cultural Resources Director at South Environmental since April 2021, Sam previously held the position of Historic Built Environment Lead at Dudek from March 2014 to April 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Cultural Resources Project Manager and Senior Architectural Historian at SWCA Environmental Consultants from March 2008 to February 2014, and Project Assistant at BonTerra Consulting from 2006 to 2008. Sam holds a Master’s degree in Forensic Anthropology from California State University, Los Angeles, earned between 2008 and 2013, and a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from California State University, Northridge, completed from 2001 to 2003.
