Maricruz Fincher

Maricruz Fincher currently serves as General Counsel and Senior Attorney at the South Florida Water Management District since July 2022, having previously worked as a Staff Attorney for the City of Franklin, Tennessee, from August 2019 to July 2022. Prior experience includes roles as an Attorney at the South Florida Water Management District from March 2016 to June 2018, Assistant General Counsel at the Florida Department of Revenue from August 2012 to March 2016, and Assistant Attorney General at the Florida Office of the Attorney General from December 2008 to August 2012. Maricruz Fincher began their legal career as a Legal Intern at the Center for the Advancement of Human Rights in 2008 and held a Law Clerk position at the Justice Administrative Commission from September 2006 to May 2007. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Law (JD) from Florida State University College of Law and dual Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Political Science and Government from Florida International University.
