Nilson Duarte Olivares

Nilson Duarte Olivares has worked in the software engineering and testing field since 2015. In 2015, they worked as a Software Developer Engineer I and Software QA Automation at Newtech, S.R.L. where they were very proactive and helped build an Automation Framework that was integrated with the Continuous Delivery/Integration processes. Nilson also automated many manual test cases using Java EE, Selenium Web Driver, and Cucumber. From 2016 to 2020, they worked at mGage, a Vivial Company, where they held three roles. As a Senior Software QA Engineer, they contributed to the successful migration from an old SQL Database Version to the newest. As a Senior Software QA Engineer Lead, they led a team of 5 people and helped expand a new Micro-service across multiple systems. Lastly, as Senior SDET Lead at South Geeks, they led a Team of 5 people across America and helped accomplish MasterCard Certification in Europe and Asia Pasific within 3 months as scheduled.

Nilson Duarte Olivares obtained a Master of Business Intelligence & Big Data from Escuela de Organización Industrial in 2020. From 2012 to 2016, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo. In 2018, they earned a Lower Intermediate in English as a foreign language from ABA English. Nilson also obtained a Junior Advance Courses in English as a foreign language from Instituto Cultural Dominico Americano between 2007 and 2011. Additionally, they obtained the iSQI - CTFL 2018 certification from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in December 2018 and the ABA English - Nivel Intermedio - A2 certification from ABA English in October 2018.
