Maureen Smyth

Maureen Smyth is a seasoned School Library Media Specialist at South Hunterdon Regional High School District since July 2008, where responsibilities include instructing students in information literacy, collaborating with teachers on projects, managing the library budget, and promoting student literacy through various programs. Prior experience includes roles as an Instruction and Research Librarian at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, a Youth Services Librarian at Princeton Public Library, and a School Librarian at Gill St. Bernard's School. Maureen also served as Assistant Director/Curator at the Historical Society of Princeton, overseeing staff and educational program development, as well as managing grants and project budgets. Academic qualifications include a Master of Library & Information Science from Rutgers University, alongside a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology from Boston University and Rutgers University, respectively.
