Lena Barnett

Head Coach Gymnastics Coordinator at South Mountain YMCA Camps

Lena Barnett has a diverse work experience in the fields of gymnastics and baking. Lena started their career in 2010 as a Gymnastics Instructor at South Mountain YMCA Camps and later became the Head Coach/Gymnastics Coordinator. In 2012, Lena worked as an Assistant Baker at The Able Baker, where they learned various baking skills and techniques. Lena then gained experience as a Pastry Cook at The Westin Governor Morris Hotel from 2018 to 2019. Lena also worked as a Gymnastics Instructor at Warwick Dance and Gymnastics Academy in 2017. Lena pursued their passion for pastry by attending culinary programs, including Fedora and École Nationale Supérieure de Pâtisserie (ENSP), where they gained further knowledge as a Student Chef.

Lena Barnett's education history begins in 2013 when they attended Johnson & Wales University and obtained an Associate's degree in Baking and Pastry Arts/Baker/Pastry Chef. Lena then continued their education at the same university, earning a Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management from 2015 to 2017. In 2017, Lena pursued a higher degree and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Hospitality from Johnson & Wales University in 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Lena also has two certifications. Lena obtained an Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross in August 2017. Lena is also ServSafe certified, although the institution and specific date of certification are not provided.
