Stan Valles, M.Ed, currently serves as the Director of Safety and Security for the South Orange & Maplewood School District since July 2022. Valles has a diverse background in law enforcement and educational leadership, previously holding positions such as Director of Public Safety at Saint Michael's College and Law Enforcement Instructor at Newark Public Schools. Additional experience includes roles as a Corrections Counselor at NH State Prison and Teacher/Adjunct Law and Criminal Justice Professor at Hunterdon County Vocational School District. Valles has held leadership positions in campus safety at Marlboro College and served as a Community Relations Officer in the Township of Livingston. With a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Kean University, Valles is equipped with a solid educational foundation, alongside NJ Police Training Commission Certification from Middlesex County Police Academy.
