Puja Nakkala

Puja Nakkala is a dedicated STEM mentor at STEM Mentorship Academy, leading classroom STEAM activities aligned with North Carolina educational standards since April 2023. Concurrently, Puja serves as an Emergency Medical Technician with South Orange Rescue Squad and contributes as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, focusing on research related to chronic alcohol and cocaine addictions. Previous experience includes a role in a Burn Research Lab, a summer internship at Enloe High School, and tutoring for Kumon North America. Puja is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, alongside training as an Emergency Medical Technician at Durham Technical Community College.
