John Evans

John "JJ" Evans, Ph.D., currently serves as the Vice President of Student Services at South Piedmont Community College, a position held since March 2024. Previously, Evans was the State Director of Student Life for the NC Community College System from April 2016 to March 2024, overseeing statewide initiatives related to student activities, leadership development, and student governance. Prior to that role, Evans worked at Alamance Community College as an Academic Support Specialist-Recruiter/Advisor, and held positions at Stetson University and Queens University of Charlotte in residence life. Evans holds a Ph.D. in Educational Research & Policy Analysis from North Carolina State University, along with a Master's in Counseling and Guidance from Clemson University and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Clemson University.
