Stephen Bird

Stephen Bird has extensive experience in the water industry, with their most recent role being Managing Director at South West Water Limited since 2016. Prior to that, they served as Chief Operating Officer (Wholesale) and Operations Director at South West Water from 2000 to 2014. Stephen has also held positions as a Pension Board Trustee Director at Pennon Group since 2010, Director at Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership Board from 2011 to 2017, Non Executive Director at UK Water Industry Research Limited from 1998 to 2015, and Environment Manager at Wallace Evans from 2000 to 2002.

Stephen Bird attended Sutton High School in Plymouth from 1969 to 1976. Stephen then pursued a PhD in Hydrology at Swansea University from 1977 to 1985.
