Mitesh Takoordeen

Mitesh Takoordeen has a strong background in information technology and management consulting. Mitesh is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at African Rainbow Minerals Limited since 2019. Prior to this, they held various roles at South32 from 2015 to 2019, including Head of Information Technology at South Africa Energy Coal, where they focused on the setup and transformation of the Energy Coal business. Before that, they worked at BHP Billiton as the Head of IT for Manganese South Africa, leading IT strategy and operations for Mining and Smelter. Mitesh also has experience as a Management Consultant at Hatch Management Consulting and as a Senior Manager at Accenture.

Mitesh Takoordeen completed a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 1995. In 2000, they pursued a Master's Degree in Energy Management at the University of Pretoria, which they completed in 2002. In 2008, they obtained a Professional Certificate in CIO Practice from the University of the Witwatersrand. Additionally, in 2008, they completed a course in IT Project Management at the University of Johannesburg.
