Walter Kuhn

Walter Kuhn is a seasoned professional in risk management and assurance, currently serving as a Specialist Risk and Assurance at South32 since 2015. In this role, Walter provides independent assurance on governance and internal control processes to the Board, CEO, and Group Management, and regularly interacts with the Multi-National Executive team regarding audit outcomes. Prior to South32, Walter worked at BHP Billiton as a Specialist Internal Audit, where responsibilities included creating value in priority functional areas and ensuring effective governance practices. Walter's career began at PwC as an Assistant Manager, focusing on client acquisition and stakeholder engagement. Walter holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Internal Auditing (Hons) from the University of Pretoria and is a professional member of the Institute of Internal Auditors since 2008.
