Erich Scheunemann

Erich Scheunemann is an experienced emergency services professional with a diverse background in fire and medical operations. Currently serving as a Learning Circle Specialist at Southcentral Foundation since June 2021, Scheunemann provides educational training for veterans and first responders dealing with post-traumatic stress. Prior to this role, extensive experience was gained at the Anchorage Fire Department from February 1998 to June 2024, where responsibilities included Deputy Chief and Assistant Chief, managing emergency response operations and overseeing EMS programs. Additional roles have included coaching track and field at the middle and high school levels and various positions in volunteer fire and rescue, emergency medical services, and administrative support. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Fire Services Administration from Western Oregon University, an NREMT-P Paramedic certification, and an Associate of Science in Fire Services Administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
