Omega Smith is an experienced professional in instructional design and science communication, currently serving as an Instructional Design Specialist at Southcentral Foundation since August 2022, specializing in learning experience design for a health and wellness campus. Omega has a longstanding affiliation with the University of Alaska Anchorage, where involvement has included roles as Senior Planetarium Presenter and Planetarium and Visualization Theater Manager since January 2014. Prior experience includes serving as Planetarium and Science Education Coordinator at the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center and as an Interpretive Guide with Mauna Kea Support Services. Omega holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Astronomy from the University of Hawai‘i System and completed a study abroad program in Physics and Maori Studies at Victoria University of Wellington.
