Dr. Douglas Romney

Dr. Douglas Romney, MD, is a distinguished emergency physician and educator with extensive experience in emergency medicine and disaster preparedness. Currently, Dr. Romney serves as a Founding Member at 8B Medical and an ABEM Board Certified Attending Emergency Physician at Southcoast Health, alongside roles as Co-Chair of the Emergency Management Committee. At Harvard Medical School, Dr. Romney is an Instructor in Emergency Medicine. Previously, Dr. Romney held leadership positions at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, focusing on education and operational oversight in disaster medicine. Dr. Romney's educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine from UNC School of Medicine, a graduate degree from The Ohio State University, and several leadership fellowships from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard institutions.
