Elizabeth Barker

Elizabeth Barker has extensive work experience in the field of Human Resources. Elizabeth served as Vice President of Human Resources Services at Southcoast Health, where they were responsible for strategic direction and administration of HR services. Prior to this role, they were the Executive Director of Compensation and Benefits at the same organization. In this position, they had system-wide responsibility for compensation and benefits for a large healthcare system. Before joining Southcoast Health, Elizabeth was a Senior Compensation/Benefits Analyst, where they provided support in various areas including wage and salary administration and labor negotiation. Elizabeth also has experience as a Manager of Employee Services at St. Joseph Health Services of RI, where they were responsible for recruitment, retention, and employee relations.

Elizabeth Barker earned their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, which they completed between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Labor & Industrial Relations with a focus on HR at the University of Rhode Island from 1996 to 1999. Their educational journey started with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Syracuse University, where they studied from 1981 to 1984.
