Jacob Kriegel

Jacob Kriegel, MD, currently serves as a Cardiac Surgeon at Southcoast Health since September 2023. Prior to this role, Jacob held various positions at Alleviant Medical, including Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer as well as Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer since February 2017. Jacob practiced as a Cardiac Surgeon at Boston Medical Center from November 2022 to September 2023 and completed a Cardiothoracic Surgery residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital from July 2019 to June 2022 and from 2013 to 2016. In addition, Jacob was a TMC Biodesign Innovation Fellow at TMC Innovation Institute from July 2016 to May 2017. Educationally, Jacob attained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Columbia University in the City of New York in 2013 and previously earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and American History from Columbia University from 2008 to 2012.
