Kayla Leandro has a diverse work experience that includes roles in healthcare and education. Kayla is currently working as a Vaccine Clinic Lead at Southcoast Health since January 2022. Before that, Kayla worked at CVS Health for several years, starting as a Pharmacy Intern in May 2015 and later becoming a Pharmacist in August 2019. At CVS, they had various responsibilities related to medication administration, billing, training, supply management, customer service, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
In addition to their work in healthcare, Kayla served as a Vaccine Team Lead at broadstreet + covid-19 data project from April 2021 to August 2021. Prior to their career in pharmacy, they worked as an Office Assistant at MCPHS University from September 2014 to May 2016. Kayla's early work experience includes a role as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Brandon Woods from May 2011 to December 2014.
Kayla Leandro has a strong educational background in pharmacy and public health. Kayla completed their Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences from 2013 to 2019. Kayla further pursued their education and obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the same institution from 2020 to 2022, specializing in Public Health. Kayla also holds several additional certifications, including Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association, Narcan Training for Health Care Professionals, and a pharmacist license from the Board of Registration in Pharmacy - Rhode Island and the Board of Pharmacy - Massachusetts. Kayla has also completed training in Pharmacy Based Immunization Delivery from the American Pharmacists Association.
