Dirk Defaye

Dirk Defaye is a knowledgeable Health Safety and Environment Advisor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology since December 2018, previously serving as an HSE Coordinator at Altus Intervention from August 2014 to October 2018, where responsibilities included internal auditing and compliance management. Prior experience includes roles as Team Lead/Foreman at United Safety, H2S Safety Supervisor, and Field Safety at Orion Safety, focusing on safety training and risk management. Dirk has also worked as an Environment Technical Specialist at Bell Helicopter, handling federal and provincial environmental reporting, and as an EHS trainee at Pratt & Whitney. Educational qualifications include an AEC in Environmental Management and Prevention from Cégep de Rosemont and a Master's degree in Chemistry from Paris-Sud University.
