Duane Martin is an experienced instructor at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, specializing in Motion Picture Editing within the Film and Video Production programme since September 2018. In addition to teaching, Duane serves as a certified trainer for DaVinci Resolve 15 at Blackmagic Design and has worked as an independent editor since 2001, contributing to various corporate projects, short films, documentaries, and music videos. Duane is the founder of the Calgary FCPUG, a post-production support group, and has held significant editorial roles in notable projects such as the CBC television series "Heartland" and the award-winning series "Fish Out of Water." Duane has also been involved in leadership within the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers. Educationally, Duane holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Dramatic Arts from the University of Guelph.
