Lucas Maliniak

Lucas Maliniak is an experienced professional in work-integrated learning (WIL) and career services, currently serving as the Project Coordinator in the Industry Engagement Office at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology since April 2025. Previously, Lucas worked as a Community & Practice Development Specialist at Calgary Economic Development, where leadership was demonstrated in an agile team to prototype innovative WIL tools and manage a large community of post-secondary staff. Prior experience includes roles at Mount Royal University Career Services, supporting students and employers, and at the Schulich School of Engineering, where extensive engagement with industry and student career advising was led. Lucas holds a Master of Education in Work Integrated Learning and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary.
