Mark Hecker

Mark Hecker is the Executive Vice President & Chief Credit Officer at Southern Bank. Mark has over 25 years of experience in the banking industry.

Hecker started their career as a bank examiner for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Mark then worked as a commercial manager for Commercial Federal Bank. In 2004, they became the Chief Lending Officer at BankLiberty. Mark remained in that role for 13 years until they joined Southern Bank in 2017.

Hecker has a wealth of experience in all aspects of lending, including commercial, consumer, and real estate lending. Mark is a strong credit risk management professional with a proven track record of successful loan portfolio management.

Mark Hecker has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in accounting from the University of Central Missouri.
