Katie Irving is a Scientist at the Southern California Coastal Water Research Project since September 2019. Before that, Katie was a PHD Candidate at Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) from November 2015 to August 2019. Katie also has experience as a Science Divemaster at Operation Wallacea, a Microplastics Research Supervisor at Archipelagos, Institute of Marine Conservation, and an Assistant Ecologist at Hesketh Ecology. Katie holds a Doctorate in Natural Sciences from Freie Universität Berlin, a Master of Science (MSc) in Freshwater and Marine Ecology from Queen Mary University of London, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Marine Biology from the University of Plymouth.
