Cedric Williams

VP, Customer Services at Southern California Gas Co

Cedric Williams is vice president of customer services for Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas), a Sempra Energy regulated utility. He oversees many of SoCalGas’ customer-facing efforts, including customer operations, customer contact, remittance processing and advanced meters.

Previously, Williams was vice president of construction for SoCalGas and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), where he oversaw execution of the planned natural gas system capital investment program for both utilities.

Prior to rejoining SoCalGas, Williams was vice president of National Grid’s complex capital delivery program. Before joining National Grid in Massachusetts in 2014, Williams had a 25-year career with SoCalGas. He has held a number of increasingly responsible management positions at SoCalGas, including director of labor relations, director of gas system operations and director of field operations.

Williams spent four years in the U.S. Marine Corps prior to joining SoCalGas. He currently sits on the board of directors for The YMCA of Greater Los Angeles and is active with the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and a master’s degree in business administration from California State University, San Bernardino.
