Paul Goldstein

Paul Goldstein is vice president, gas transmission and storage for Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) and San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E), Sempra Energy’s regulated California utilities.

Previously, Goldstein was vice president of customer services, where he led many of SoCalGas’ customer-facing efforts. Prior to that, Goldstein was vice president of gas acquisition responsible for procuring all of the natural gas for SoCalGas and San Diego Gas & Electric’s (SDG&E) residential and small commercial customers and delivering that gas to the utilities’ system.

Goldstein has been in the energy industry for more than 25 years. He previously served as director of fuel supply for Sempra Generation and managing director for Sempra U.S. Gas & Power. Prior to joining SoCalGas in 1998 as a senior supply forecast analyst, he held a variety of engineering and operations roles at Nicor Energy in the Chicago area.

Goldstein currently serves as a board member of Junior Achievement of Southern California. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Cornell University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Chicago.
