Elena Manferdini

Elena Manferdini is a distinguished design faculty member at SCI-Arc since April 2003, where Elena also serves as Graduate Programs Chair and Graduate Thesis Coordinator. In addition to her role at SCI-Arc, Elena is the owner of Atelier Manferdini, a position held since April 2004. Elena's academic contributions include visiting professorships at notable institutions such as UC Berkeley in spring 2014, the University of Pennsylvania in fall 2013, and Cornell University in fall 2011, as well as serving as a Studio Guest Professor at Kyoto Seika University in 2011. Earlier experience includes freelance work with Nike from 2004 to 2005. Elena holds a Master of Architecture and Urban Design from UCLA and a professional degree in Structural Engineering from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
