Houston Smith

Houston Smith has extensive experience in governmental affairs and public relations, currently serving as Vice President of Governmental Affairs at Alabama Power Company since 2016. Previously, Houston held the position of Director of Federal and Corporate Affairs within the same organization. Prior to joining Alabama Power Company, Houston worked as Director of Public Relations for the company and spent time as an attorney at Balch & Bingham from September 2005 to March 2013. Houston holds a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Alabama School of Law (2005) and a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (2002).
