Joshua Groffman serves as the Associate Professor and Chair of Music at Southern Connecticut State University since August 2020, overseeing administrative leadership and teaching courses in music studio technology, theory, and composition. Previously, Joshua held the position of Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, directing the music program and instructing courses in music appreciation, fundamentals, technology, and interdisciplinary arts. Additional experience includes guest faculty roles at Sarah Lawrence College, adjunct professor positions at Montclair State University, and coordinating instructor roles at Indiana University, where Joshua focused on music theory and supervised graduate instructors. Joshua Groffman earned a Doctor of Music in Composition and a Master of Music in Composition from Indiana University Bloomington, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Music & History from Cornell University.
