Nicholas Ward

Nicholas Ward is a highly experienced professional with over 25 years in environmental geochemistry and hydrology. Currently serving at Southern Cross University since April 2007, Nicholas manages the Environmental Analysis Laboratory, overseeing a team of approximately 30 staff, ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards, and coordinating national professional short course programs. Nicholas has a strong background in laboratory management, radiation safety, and analytical techniques, supported by advanced degrees including a PhD in Environmental Geochemistry and an MSc in Physical Geography. Previous roles include positions at Opus International Consultants and Electricity Corporation of New Zealand, demonstrating a breadth of experience in hydrological investigations and project management.
