Keri Powell currently serves as the Carol Remmer Angle Senior Attorney for Community Health & Air Program Leader at the Southern Environmental Law Center, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this, Keri was the Principal at Powell Environmental Law from January 2017 to August 2023, providing legal representation to various organizations focused on environmental and public health issues. Keri's previous experience includes roles as Senior Attorney and Attorney-Adviser at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where legal counseling was provided on multiple environmental acts, and as a Staff Attorney at Earthjustice, advocating for environmental organizations in litigation. Keri holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law, a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Georgia State University, and a B.A. in Earth Science from Trinity University.
