Southern Mississippi Planning & Development District Office Buildings Temporarily Closed to the Public In an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Southern Mississippi Planning & Development District Offices will be closed to the general public until further notice, effective at 5 p.m. on March 17, 2020. Our office will continue providing first class service to all of our service area by responding to emails, calls, and online requests. “The care and safety of our employees and clients is priority. During this difficult time SMPDD is readily available to serve the people in our community.”   We cover a 15 county area that includes 38 municipal governments in South Mississippi. Mississippi’s 2020 Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) state plan DRAFT has been posted for public review and comment.
