Kay Godby is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in health care management and preparedness planning. Currently serving as the Senior Public Health Planner at the Southern Nevada Health District since October 2002, Kay has developed numerous critical emergency plans, including those for Smallpox and Pandemic Influenza. Previous roles include Infection Control Coordinator at Valley Hospital Medical Center and Regional Director of Quick Cares at University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, where responsibilities encompassed staff training, budget management, and policy development. Kay's early career involved serving as a Nurse II Surveyor with the Illinois Department of Public Health. Educational achievements include a Master's in Health Care Administration from the University of St. Francis and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University, along with a certification as a Master Exercise Practitioner from the EMI Fire Academy.
