Artez Sims

Artez Sims, Ph.D., is an experienced educator and researcher with a strong background in chemistry. Currently serving as an instructor at Southern Regional Technical College since May 2014, Artez develops and instructs CHEM 1151 and CHEM 1152 courses. In addition, Artez has been an educator at Thomasville City Schools since July 2013, partnering with teachers to enhance quality student instruction for grades 6-12. As a Ph.D. candidate at Vanderbilt University from August 2008 to May 2013, Artez focused on synthesizing polymer scaffolds for therapeutic applications, with an emphasis on intracellular delivery systems. Artez holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Savannah State University.
