Highley Thompson

Highley Thompson is an experienced education professional with a diverse background in school administration and consulting. Currently serving as a Search Consultant at ST Search and Consulting since June 2023, Thompson previously held key leadership roles at Thayer Academy as Upper School Director from June 2011 to June 2023, and at Chestnut Hill Academy as Head of Upper School/Assistant Headmaster from July 2009 to June 2011. Thompson’s extensive tenure at Severn School spanned from 1992 to 2009, where responsibilities included Upper School Head, Upper School Academic Dean, Upper School Dean of Students, and Upper School English Teacher, with earlier experience as a Middle School Mathematics and Latin Teacher. Educational qualifications include an A.B. in English from Princeton University and an MEd in Administration/Supervision from the University of Virginia.
